Use Customer Groups to Offer Targeted Discounts and Promotions
Once you’ve created customer groups, you can use them to deliver targeted offers — improving engagement, conversion, and loyalty.
For example, you can assign exclusive discounts directly to specific customers or groups without creating a discount coupon code. When the assigned customer logs in and makes a purchase using their registered (saved) email ID, the system automatically applies the assigned discount during checkout.
This approach helps streamline personalized promotions — such as rewarding VIP or high-value customers — while ensuring a seamless, automated discount experience.
Creating a Discount for a Customer Group
- Go to % Discounts → Discounts Code.
- Click Create Discount.
-
Fill out:
- Discount Name (e.g., “VIP Loyalty Group Offer”)
- Select: Percentage / Fixed Amount / Free Shipping
- Start & End Dates
- Under Customers, select Customer Group → [Your Group Name]
- Click Add to activate your discount code for the selected customer group.
Tip: Edit the Discount Code to provide accurate discounts
to your customer group.
Examples of Targeted Promotions
- VIP Members: 20% off on all products
- New Customers: $10 off on the first purchase
- Inactive Customers: Free shipping on reactivation
- Wholesale Buyers: Bulk discounts
Tip: Use your email campaigns to notify targeted groups
about their exclusive promotions.
