What is Stock & inventory locations
Locations allow sellers to efficiently manage the physical places where their products are stocked, fulfilled, and sold. This feature helps you maintain control over inventory, streamline order fulfilment, and provide a more accurate shopping experience for customers.
Each location can represent a warehouse, retail store, or fulfilment center from which you process and ship orders.
Purpose of locations
By managing accurate location data, sellers can:
- Track inventory and stock levels across multiple locations.
- Set different shipping rates and delivery options for each location.
- Assign specific fulfilment centers to process orders from certain regions.
- Optimize order routing for faster and more cost-effective delivery.
Note: By default, your account starts with a single location based on the information provided during your store setup.
How to edit a location
You can view and update your location details directly from your Admin Panel.
To edit your store location:
- Log in to your eCommerce Admin Panel.
- Navigate to Settings → Locations.
- Locate the location you want to update.
- Click on the three dots (···) icon next to the location name.
- Edit the necessary details such as the location name, address, or contact information.
- Click Save to apply your changes.
Tip: Maintain clear and descriptive names for each location (e.g., “Oak Creek Fulfilment Center” or “Downtown Retail Store”) to help staff easily identify where inventory is stored and processed.
