How to add main menu and footer menu?
Store navigation
Menus are key navigation tools that help visitors explore different areas of your online store. They act as roadmaps, guiding users to pages like Home, About, Collections, Products, Blog, or Contact.
Your store includes two default menus:
- Main Menu – Appears at the top (header) of your store and usually includes product collections, About, and Contact pages.
- Footer Menu – Appears at the bottom of your store and typically includes legal pages, About Us, and Contact links.
You can easily customize both menus by adding, removing, or rearranging menu items — including pages, product collections, or custom URLs.
Add Items to Your Menus
To add new items (pages, collections, or URLs) to your Main or Footer menu:
- Log in to your store’s Admin Panel.
- Navigate to Sales Channels → Online Store → Navigation.
- Click on the menu you want to edit (Main Menu or Footer Menu).
- Select Add Menu Item.
- In the popup window:
- Enter the menu item name (this will be displayed in your store menu).
- Choose the link type — for example, a collection, product, page, or custom URL.
- Click Save to apply your changes.
Tips for Better Navigation:
- Use clear, short names (e.g., “Shop,” “Contact,” “About”).
- Group similar items under dropdowns or submenus for a cleaner layout.
- Keep the number of top-level menu items under 6 for a better user experience.
